My favorite saying for gift giving this holiday, courtesy of Danielle (who heard it from a friend, and so on...) :
...."something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read." (thanks Danielle, for the correction!)
How great is that? Kids get so MUCH these days (mine included) and it is hard to narrow it down, but I think I will try to stick to this saying. We are close this year, but not right on.
And... there is a great giveaway over at one of my favorite online stores.... imagine childhood. They are giving away this adorable stuffed polarbear and a great book to match! Head on over there!

just so you get it right (it flows better... what can I say) "something you want, something you need, something to wear and something to read" and it comes from my friend Sarah at http://sadie-cakes.blogspot.com/
Oh, I just loved this quote. It really touched me deeply. I have just written it out, and placed it over our bathroom mirror. We have only created handmade items for our little ones so far, and this is a really perfect reminder of how the holidays should be
Hi Brooke, I am having trouble sending email out so I had to get in touch with you here. You won a sweater softie in my giveaway. Please send me your address to crinklebein at yahoo dot com
I'm planning on sending it out on Friday. Have a wonderful evening.
