March change

Our One Small Change for March is something we have picked up this winter, but have yet to be completely committed: setting our heat at a lower setting during the day (65-67), and setting it to around 60 at night.
Previously, we just left it at 69-70 depending on how cold we were, day or night. We could just buy a programmable thermostat, but we are going the cheap route and just trying to remember to turn it down before heading to bed.
Now, since the baby is coming any day now, I am not sure how this will effect THAT! I know they say babies like it warmer, but I figure since it will be sleeping near us, there isn't much to worry about. We will play it by ear.

What is your change?

We also keep our house around 65. When we feel chilly we simply pull out all the lovely handmade quilts we have and bundle up!

Just wanted to let you know that you are on my mind! So excited to hear about your new arrival when the time comes. Hope you are staying comfortable and enjoying the end of your pregnancy.

All the best to you and your family!

A programmable thermostat came with our house, but we tried to be green when adjusting the settings. Our change is to get some fresh air by opening the window s and heading outside to play. I am known to be a bit of a couch potato...

I always found I had to turn the heat down with a baby at night, otherwise I would be roasting by co sleeping. They are such great little heaters aren't they. The downside is nursing and having an arm sticking out of the covers.

I hope that you are doing really Brooke, as your little one is getting so close to making his/her appearance. Thank you again for your hard work to Rhythm of The Home

This is such a great and easy change (well sort of easy)...I have found myself freezing on a few days this winter, but worth it! I hope all goes well with the new baby!
Feel free to stop by any time this month and let us know how it is going! http://1smallchangeblog.blogspot.com/

Oh, that would be a tough one! I would always be up to make sure the kids where still in their covers and Jake's feet are already super cold at night as it is! I bet it will be good on the wallet though! ~Brenda
