My baby is 6 months old!

I cannot believe that Soren in already 6 months old! He is just getting so big. Already he is trying to crawl, it is amazing... but he has almost no interest in sitting up. Well, to each there own, right? He LOVES to eat baby food. So far, I think his favorite might be either carrots or banana yogurt... he finishes jars of food, which none of the previous three EVER did, even when they were older! Kellen had such a gag reflex, that he barely touched baby food until he was much older. But I am making a bit here and there with veggies and fruits we have around the house... so the freezer is getting stocked.

On some other notes::
Our garden is growing like crazy! I will add some pictures soon of that.

Tyler and I are going for our first date night tonight in a long while... maybe since before Soren was born?! Wow that is a long time!

I have decided to take a break from the social media (really, Facebook) because of a plethora of reasons; it is a time waster, do I really need to know what so and so was doing every day?, and it is making me crazy, and I mean seriously crazy. So I will share my blogposts on there so that my family knows when I blog, but other than that, I really plan on NOT being on there for a good long while. If you have comments about the blog, make sure to leave them here, as I will not be checking facebook for comments either

I have also decided to train for a Tough Mudder! It will be in Austin in October, and I am so excited!!! A couple of my military friends are going to join me, and Tyler will be too! Although I am sure he is going to leave me in the dust!

Here is pictures in Dallas when Tyler ran it last weekend. He is in a picture about halfway through the bunch at the finish line (there is a big black blow up thing in the background saying TOUGH) He said he had a great time, and it looked like a lot of fun!

Thanks, and I hope everyone has a GREAT holiday weekend.

It's amazing how differently babies grow and develop. I often wonder what are next child will be like.

Good for you ! I need to try and join in on this Social Media diet, I feel like with Pinterest now, I kind of can still keep in touch w/out all the other drama of FB...and I know if I worked out for as long as I am on FB? I would be in FABULOUS shape! My littlest is 4 1/2 and it's just so fast how they grow. I haven't even started my garden yet! makes me miss Texas :) did you have any tornadoes around you? They used to give Ash nightmares. ~B.klaw

Good job Brooke, both for giving up FB and training for the tough mudder. I wish I could do it with you! I went up LP with Luke today and we ran some until my calf cramped up...I'm still hurting 4 hours later- I guess thats what happens when I try to run with my husband!

We will miss you guys at the beach tomorrow..we had so much fun last year that we decided to do it again, but it won't be the same without you guys. -Becca

Thanks guys for your support! I am feeling lighter already! Because of both, the social media diet (I like that, Brenda!) and training! I have to take it super slow because of my knee, but I will get there.
Becca, that is awesome you ran with Luke up there, I imagine it was hard... As it always is for me to keep up with Tyler!! I have been thinking about our last Easter often as of late. I would have to say, it is one of my favorite one's to date! I am glad you are keeping the tradition alive, and I hope the weather somehow cooperates. It was a magical time/place. We miss you guys! Maybe when there is a tough murder up there by you guys, we can go?!? That would be fun!
